Being a convicted felon is more than a past…. its the present and the future. From examples of life inside the bars to life beyond release is something only the felon knows in its entirety; and not all felons are the same or have the same experience. Some of us find strength in that dark place and become better people on our journey back to the free world. While on the other hand, some of us lose hope, fall into despair and become stuck in a “jail mentality”, even long after release. Regardless of the outcome, we are all people who bleed the same. Although we must practice prudence when dealing with each other, we should all have a heart of prayer for everyone….from the ones who found success all the way to the one who’ve given up on life. I know the feeling of self-doubt…I know the feeling of being judged…I am a Convict.
